Boden Academy held a round table discussion on “The Disputes Arising from Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contracts” with the attendance of İnanç Akalın, Senior Partner, as speaker and with the moderation of Değer Boden, Managing Partner, on 9 March 2020.
In the meeting, among the others, main reasons of the disputes under Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contracts, matters to be taken into account in negotiation process for avoiding disputes, and in a potential dispute scenario, dispute samples from the practice, current outbreak of coronavirus and its effects on EPC and Operation-Maintenance (O&M) Contracts have been discussed. The article reviews Turkey’s all bilateral and multilateral investment treaties as well as free trade agreements with investment chapters in general sense and aims to provide guidance to Turkish investors.
