Değer Boden speaks at the Seminar on EFET Agreements (EMRA, Ankara).
The seminar was held to introduce EFET Agreements to the Turkish Energy regulators and semi-governmental agencies. It was attended by 75 attendees from various governmental institutions and public utility companies (Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, EPDK/EMRA, EÜAŞ, TETAŞ, TEDAŞ and TEİAŞ) and representatives of private distribution companies.

The New Code of Obligations comes into force
The new Turkish Code of Obligations numbered 6098 which was passed by the Turkish parliament on 11 January 2011 came into effect on 1 July 2012, abolishing the Code of Obligations numbered 818. The new code introduces many noteworthy changes to standard terms and conditions, electronic signature, interest rates, suretyship and lease agreements.

The New Turkish Commercial Code comes into force
The new Turkish Commercial Code, which was passed by the Turkish parliament on 13 January 2011 came into effect on 1 July 2012. The new code introduces major changes to Turkey’s corporate law system, especially to the corporate governance structures of limited liability and joint stock companies.
